Title: Atlanta-Chattanooga Track Update
Post by: TB4JY on July 30, 2007, 06:37:31 AM
Well the new section of double track between Long TN (22H) and Cohutta GA (27H) is done and most likely be made operational this week.  I guess they still have a few signal test to do.

Their also starting on putting in a new siding between Sugar Valley (55H) and Reeves (68H).  This new siding will go from about M.P. 58 to M.P. 61.  Rumour has one of the new signal names being "Talley", after a signal maintainer.

When that's done, they plan on extending the siding at Lindale (84H).  The current siding goes from Smith (81H) to Lindale (84H).  The new siding will go from Smith (81H) to Chambers (86.8H).  Maybe they will leave Lindale as a crossover.  Don't know yet.
