Let the entries begin! The theme will be fall and photos from all times- past and present- are welcomed!
If you have any questions, ask them here.

JCagle

Its great that this has been added. Perhaps if it is popular we could spin it off to a calender with the photos of the year if there was enough interest.

Well, ill be the first.....

NS3339 and 3428 lead a coal drag down Track 1 towards the Portage Tunnel. The leaves have already begun to change, although its not even October yet.

Michael Knight

Saturday, September 29, is the deadline for submissions for the October photo. A poll will be added after that for everyone to choose the winning photograph.

Geez, Ive only been shooting since Christmas of 06 so I dont have any fall shots, and the trees havent started to turn here yet so I guess I'm out of luck.  I'd submit if I had a couple fall pics but oh well....

No, you are not out of luck. :) Fall began on September 22 this year. It doesn't matter if the picture has fall foliage visible or not. Happy shooting!

I have a photo I would like to enter, but it isn't fall? Is it okay to enter? Below is the photo. I would get out and there get some NS photos, but the leaves haven't changed yet.

I didn't see the rules for this contest, so I don't know how many photos I'm allowed to submit.  I have something old, something new, and something blue . . . .

A local NS switching crew with a Southern SW1500 running in the street down by the waterfront in Richmond in October of 1983 . . . .

An eastbound NS coal train passing a westbound NS autorack train waiting for a cab signaled equipped locomotive so that it can run on the old Pennsy mainline west of Harrisburg , August 16, 2006 . . . .

The picture is now on the main page! :)    http://jreb.org

As for next month's theme, it will be announced in the near future.

Thank you all for your votes.  I'm really honored.  If any of y'all (some of my West Virginian coming out) find yourselves in the Harrisburg area, drop me a line.  There's a lot more than Enola, Cove ,and the Rockville Bridge.
