Best HO Track?

OK, so I'm starting to get serious about a new HO layout.  Probably something small, shelf style, L shaped.  Just a switching layout to have a little fun with.  Since there will be several switches involved what is your recommendation as far as brand of track?  I've been looking at the Atlas code 83 stuff, seems good.  What about Peco and Shinohahra?  Are they worth the extra $?  The last layout I built was with code 100 snap track so my knowledge is limited.
