Got to run a batch of TopGon cars for the first time this weekend at the club.
Had one shorting on a switch due to tight wheel set... No big deal.
Pulled the car, and kept the train rolling trouble free rest of the time.
Got home to adjust the wheels on the trouble car.
Three of the wheel sets were out of guage and also had warped axles.
Replaced all four with Intermountain sets.
Its a shame to pay so dang much for a car to have to toss the wheel sets.
Almost afraid to take a closer look at the rest of my TopGon fleet.....

If you do not mind me asking... which company made the wheel sets that were defective? DE Dan

Whatever came stock on BLMA TopGons.
Metal wheel with cheap plastic axles.

Got nearly 300 TopGons and haven't had an issue with any of them.

fireball it was those disgruntled fired employes sabotaging your hopper fleet. I got pics.
