Does anyone have any of the Kato N scale Amtrak equipment? I am thinking of getting the p42 superliner starter set and then the additional A and B sets of superliner equipment.

Anyone have firsthand experience with this product or seen it run on a club layout or at a train show?

I hate forking over this much dough buying something online and being disappointed with the product. Kato always seemed to be off just a little for me in the past on the realistic department. Just wondering if the prototypical look has improved in the last few years. Thanks.

I know what you mean... however, I model HO scale... and all the KATO stuff I have is excellent! Runs great from the box... everything in gage(gauge). No complaints. But, as to the realistic department... it's hard to make small details in smaller items... but, their stuff is still better than the others. But, just my two cents. Dan

I have all the 40th Anniversary engines and several other P42's, a full Superliner and single level Cardinal train, and it is fantastic.  I'm debating getting a Metra train from them as well.
