Post by: thpbears on September 15, 2014, 06:53:48 AM
Anyone ever used this Atlas Super Flex Track? I noticed a add in this months Model railroader and was thinking of doing our new upcoming layout with it.

Is this just normal flex track... or is this a new product? DE Dan

It says new improved. Says you can make your curve the way you need them of course I know from experience to sharp and everything comes off the track. Kinda like a CSX train . Just kidding with you. NS or CSX I got both running on my layout.

Ok, did some online research. It looks like it is regular flex track that can have a super tight radius. IDK why you would as cars and locos LOOK better on a wider radius. If I decide to tear down my layout and rebuild it... I plan on using flex track on mainline runs... and then use either section track or cut flex track into sections for sidings(that is not CWR) yards and spurs. After I got too far on this current layout, I thought it would be cool... clickity-clack in the yard, with smooth running on the main. DE Dan
