NS #69G ?

Once in awhile I see NS Train #69G come through Centralia.  As many of you know the train consists of strictly tank cars.  I noticed that the train does not have a buffer car between the last locomotive and the first tank car.  Is there a reason why this one doesn't?  And, what is this train hauling?  It doesn't say on the side of the cars but there is a "Flammable" sign on each one.

This description sounds like an empty ethanol train.

It uses one buffer car.

Last time I saw a 69G the cars where stencelled "ethyl oxide" above the COTS  area. This train started running long before ethanol mania kicked in.
