Hey, I actually live in NOLA, but dont visit that often here ???

My dad works for CSX, so I got the scoop. They had about 30 miles of track washout east of the city between here and Gulfport/Biloxi area.  The line is back open as of last friday I believe, so I doubt you will see many detours.

From an intermodal perspective, the daily train out of New Orleans got cut back to once a week, on Sundays it was following the Crescent.  The last one that ran was about 7000 feet.  Most of the mixed freight was sent north through Birmingham on the CSX and then to the NS.
