NC Transportation Rail Days

NCTM finally announced their schedule for their annual Rail Days event. It looks like there are some interesting events this year.

SARM will be helping out with the "Southern Themed Passenger Train" .....

I talked to one of the guys running the night shoot last night. The tickets to the photo special are. $10.00 and the night shoot is $30.00. Anyone else from the boards thinking about going? As long as my schedule holds out I will be there.

I will be there saturday, or at least in Salisbury. Last year I didn't even go to the museum until the night shoot, and that was just to hang out, I didn't/don't shoot much in the way of pictures, almost all video. Many of my friends did get some great shots when that storm rolled in, but I left Salisbury in the dust to beat the storm home.

I usually just railfan with friends, many of whom I don't see that often, the museum usually doesn't change that much from normal. Now if NS were to send the 8114...... that would get me in there. Otherwise my money will find the cash register at the choo choo shop.

Will NS have a few engines sitting around to look at like several years ago ?
