I've always liked the older Southern units with the subsidiary's name on the long hood, like CofG, Savannah and Atlanta, Interstate, Carolina Northwestern, Georgia and Florida, and Live Oak, Perry and Gulf. I was wondering if anyone could clue me into as to why they quit putting the subsidiary name on the long hood. Also what units were the last ones to receive full Southern lettering.
