Title: Vintage Days
Post by: beal99 on January 29, 2013, 04:24:31 PM
EM's shots got me looking into my archives

A GP30 led coal train in what I think is Emory Gap, but it doesn't look like that location to me

The attached:

1. Southern Crescent Obs Car at unknown location

2. Passing an SD45 led freight on the Southern Crescent

Good stuff Nate!   I am really digging this look back that Ron seemed to have started. Yall keep on posting some of this old stuff, and I will to.

That first shot does look like Emory Gap to me, South of the depot a little bit I would guess. The ridge in the background and the H&NE (or is it the TC??) tracks in the background give it away.

Yep, I agree with EM---that does look like Emory Gap.

The shot from the dome car of the SD45 leading the freight is really cool!

I've got a bunch of old stuff I will get around to posting :)  It's not near as photogenic as the work of Mr. Flanary, but it's pretty cool none the less.
