2013 is off to a good start! Who knew that just 4 days after shooting the Lackawanna unit, I would be right back after the Savannah & Atlanta unit leading 197 southbound across the CNO&TP on another beautiful winter day.

Image 1: 197 knocks down the signal at Bowen.

Image 2: A little earlier in the day than Sunday, 197 is seen in the cut at Kings Mountain without shadows.

Image 3: About to knock down the signal at Norwood, 197 swings around a curve just south of Science Hill.

Image 4: After a hold-up at Somerset waiting for NB's to get out of Burnside, 197 crosses the Cumberland River... A few moments later they would re-crew and head for Chattanooga.

Image 5: With the re-crew on board, 197 comes around the curve south of Tateville under Garland Road.

Image 6: 197 is southbound at Parker's Lake.

Image 7: To finish the day... 197 is framed under the Southern-era signal bridges that protect the control point at Revilo.

Nice work. I don't think these units will ever get old!
