Manassas-Lynchburg local P97 through Midland, VA on the NS Washington District. I could see this thing for like 4 minutes before it got to me and thought it was a high hood from a distance but turned out to be an SD70M long hood forward at 50mph . It was a wild sight.

NS's short lived high visibility plow experiment is seen here on an SD60.  This idea was replaced by ditch lights.  1994.
