For this month's contest, E.M. and I have decided to do something other than a seasonal theme.
Thus, for this month's contest, submit your photos of either NS or its predecessors from any season or era; however, no widecab locomotives are allowed to be in the picture!
As always, you may read the rules here. http://jreb.org/ns/index.php?topic=4060.0
Thanks and good luck! :)
Here's a NS HH GP38-2 5239 & NS 5326 in the fog
Heres a SD70 sparten in the fog
First, 65J cracks the quiet of a summer morning at Cassandra, PA.

Then, 11a rumbles past Cassandra on another quiet summer morning with an SD70,SD60, and SD50 lashup.

The first photo is an OCS at Salem VA.
And the second is V29 at Radford VA.
The classic look of the Southern high hood SD40-2 lives on in the world of modern railroading at Bristol, VA.
The second shot shows NS T74 with three hard working high hood SD40-2's pulling around 30 coal loads upgrade at Copper Creek, VA.

Pbonzo, thanks for entering your pictures. However, you may only submit two pictures according to the calendar rules. Whichever two you choose are fine. :)
Sorry. Just removed one.

survey says......NO, go for it
I don't really have anything at the immediate moment to add but WOW at the pictures! I'm enjoying all of them :)
The poll is now up! Good luck to all who have entered! :)
Just wanted to say I love the no wide cab contest idea this month. Hopefully I'll be able to get out and get some pictures for the contests coming up.
Congrats, ConrailKid! Those were some great shots and the deserved winners!
Congratulations to Conrail Kid for his winning photograph of train 11A. Thanks to all who participated and good luck next time! :)
By the way, Conrail Kid, please check your messages. I need to link to a larger version.
Thank you very much.
