After being stuck inside the last few days due to the road conditions being poor due to the snow, I finally ventured out in hopes of finding the New York Central heritage unit. It couldn't have picked a better day to come down the CNO&TP as there wasn't a cloud in the sky all afternoon. Even better, all but 2 trains I saw on this day had an EMD leader. You can't go wrong with a day like today!  :)

Below are a few pictures from today... If you want to see the rest go check out my Flickr page! >>http://www.flickr.com/photos/46459752@N08/

NS 229 follows NS 197 toward the yard in Danville at North Wye

NS 289, with the NYC 1066 leading, flies toward the intermediate signals between Burgin and Brown

After refueling and recrewing, NS 289 departs North Wye to head west toward Shelbyville

NYC 1066 leads NS 289 through the small town of Harrodsburg

NS 224 rounds the curve at South Wye with a filthy SD60E leading a patched Southern Pacific unit

Gage, that shot in Hogtown is perfectly composed and timed, and not something a lot of folks would have tried. Well done!
