This shoving platform has been in the yard at Pomona for months but I have yet to see it in use.  Anyone know what job would use this car?

Its for the yard crews to use when making an extended shove move. UTU contract provides extra pay for a Conductor/Brakeman who has to shove without a cab/platform. If I remember correctly its over 2 miles. Problem in Greensboro is, none of the crews shove that far, and the car is just in the way more then it helps. That's why its just setting and rusting to the rails.
