Portsmouth, OH engine shop?

I was talking with a guy who works for the Wheelersburg, OH track maint. the other day.  He told me that the NS was going to re-open the engine shop in Portsmouth,OH.  He said that they were going to use it to do the 6 and 12 month warranty checks on the new locos.  Has anyone heard this?

There was talk about re-opening the car shops but hadn't heard anything regarding the locomotive shops. It would be worthwhile, IMO, but one never knows with today's officials. NSDash9 might be able to shed some light on this, assuming he's heard from his sources.

The car shops are open and from the looks of the old cars in the yard staying very busy.  There have been a lot of Southern wood chip cars sitting in the yard.

I've heard nothing regarding the re-opening of the loco shop at Portsmouth, only the  announcement regarding the re-opening of the car shop there.
