Last week or so, NS posted the new schedules for the Crescent Corridor which will launch on Jan 20th.

The Rossville, TN to Charlotte lane has already started.  That traffic is handled on train 22N to Atlanta where it's forwarded to train 222 to Charlotte.

***The following is my logic reasoning after studying the new schedules.  It's not confirmed info.***

According to the schedules, most of the new 30 service lanes will utilize already established trains, however some of the trains' origin / destination terminals and days of operation will change.

For example, the Birmingham (McCalla), AL - Northeast traffic will be handled on train 290.  Currently, 290 is an Atlanta - Croxton, NJ autorack train.  It appears 290 will now originate in Birmingham and then make a pick up in Atlanta before continuing to Croxton, making set outs along the way.  The Greencastle and Bethlehem, PA to Birmingham traffic will be handled on train 213.  Currently, 213 is a Rutherford, PA - Atlanta intermodal.  It looks like 213 will be extended to Birmingham, as the schedule shows no connecting train en route.

As for the new Crescent Corridor service to / from Texas and Mexico, all that traffic will be handled on the already existing Atlanta - Dallas intermodals 23E and 24E.  Those trains will now run 6 days a week, up from its current 3 days a week.

As for Memphis / Rossville, all traffic to the Northeast, including the new Greencastle and Bethlehem service, is handled on train 202.  The Northeast to Rossville traffic will be handled on the "new" train 201.  Around Thanksgiving, 201 was changed to 23N.  The "new" 201 will most likely originate in Harrisburg, as it will get its connecting traffic from the Erail, NJ - Harrisburg train 25R.  201 will most likely use the same routing as 202.  This will leave Memphis five intermodal trains: 201, 202, 21R, 22N, and 23N.  However, all Northeast to Rossville traffic is currently on 21R, so the future of that train is uncertain.
