Just wondering . . . did the CNO&TP Railroad ever have a formal logo?

Searching the web only reveals this banner on a business card:

Obviously, there is a lot of power and rolling stock with the lettering stenciled on the sides.

But I've never seen a distinct logo for the Cincinnati Southern RR or the CNO&TP.

Anyone else?

The logo on that pass is probably the most common one that I have seen. I have some old (ancient) CS and CNO&TP waybills and locomotive inspection reports that John Farris gave me several years ago, and that is the same basic masthead that appears on them.

What I think to be an earlier (and maybe even the first) version, can be found at this link...look in the upper, left hand corner. It appears in several places in the different old documents they have on the various pages

I always wondered about an official logo for the CNO&TP... I think I have a VHS that has that crest on it of the CNO&TP.

A wee bit off topic, but on that CNO&TP website you just linked has a image page with a nice photo of the 1963 line relocation just south of the Interlocking at Cumberland Falls showing the cut and old tunnel 11 to the side.  8)

Had lunch with a big Queen & Cresent guy today and ran it by him.  He couldn't think of anything specfic either.

With a mention of the Queen & Crescent, I looked at the pages from the "Official Guide of Railways" from 1890.  I have attached three pages. The CNO&TP was the part of the Q&C between Cincy and Chattanooga.  I noticed on 0600.pdf under connections that the CNO&TP connected with the Cincinnati and Green River RR at Kings Mountain.  I found the schedule for the C&GR.  In 1890 that railroad ran two passenger trains each day between Yosemite and Kings Mountain, Ky.

Those are very neat documents, Swinstandley . . . it's was fun reviewing travel times, stations stops, etc.

The trip from Cincy to Chattanooga in 14 hours, would average 26 MPH (with 2-3 stops, along the way).

They listed the original route at 336 miles, while I think today it's listed as 338 . . . due to line relocation.

And, the "Queen & Crescent Route" name allows me to find a logo via a Google search:

Still, don't see an actual CNO&TP logo.

Ghost Railroads of Kentucky discusses the Cincinnati & Green River Railway.  Here is a scan of a pass that someone had on ebay.
