While I've never ridden the car, this topic reminded me of one of my favorite photos of it--a photo, incidentally, which was recorded on film by JREB's very own Ponce de Leon.

I think the photo is a great one and represents a time when NS was in its prime and arguably one of the best-run railroads in the business.

Perhaps others have some photos to share of the car.

Yep.....been on the car.  It is certainly a great view.

The "Beuna Vista" I believe.  IIRC this was a Southern Railway/Hayne Shop product from the 1970s.  It was rebuilt from Southern Coach 1032 which was rebuilt in the early 1950s from an older Pullman sleeper.  Gorgeous car then, and a gorgeous car now.
