CSX Train hits van in London, KY

Emergency officials say a train has hit a mini-van in Laurel County. At least one person is dead.

The accident happened near U.S. 25 in front of the entrance to the Levi Jackson State Park in London.

Brian Reams with the Laurel County Emergency Management tells us three people had to be flown from the scene to the U.K. Medical Center. Another person was taken to a local hospital. A fifth person in the van has died.

The road into Levi Jackson State Park is shutdown.

The train did not derail.

A seven year old child was the victim that was killed. Three juveniles were flown to U.K. Hospital and the driver was taken to a local hospital.
