Title: New train, 17D?
Post by: florida581 on July 19, 2014, 10:30:43 PM
A new train has been seen running southbound towards Macon, GA.  The symbol is 17D.  Can anyone provide an origin/destination for this train.  Is this indeed a new train or a temporary reroute/detour?  Does it have a northbound counterpart?  Any info will be greatly appreciated.

Looks like Bellevue to Macon via Portsmouth, Bluefield, Roanoke, and Linwood.  Does not appear to be daily.

That sure seems to be a round about way to get to Macon? Wonder why it did not go to Bristol to Knoxville to Atlanta? I admit I don't know all the routs outs of Bluefield but do know we got coal that went to Atlanta from Bluefield and that went thru Knoxville.
