This post is only partially off topic, in that the engines now wear the Red and Grey of RJ Corman, but they used to wear the Southern Railway Passenger Livery colors with pride.

I got a call at work one afternoon letting me know about this consist in Frankfort.  The full version of the story and all the photo thumbnails and links can be found on my website, but I will share some of the better ones here.  If you want the rest of the story, and the rest of the pictures, follow this link:

What I found was both of RJ Corman's EMD FP7A's and P&L's two EMD GP38-2 that are painted with UofK Blue with the Wildcat and the UofL Red with the Cardinal, all lashed up together in downtown Frankfort.  Along with those engines, there were two of Corman's business like cars, and two of P&L's business like cars plus a P&L generator car.  This was all in town for some kind of function that I never really figured out.  I really didn't care long as I got to see it and get some pictures of it.

Some of these pictures were taken in a bad shade or back lite conditions, but it was a very rare lashup.

RJC 1941 and the rest of the engines.

P&L UofK Engine 1998.

P&L UofL Engine 3801.

RJC 1940.

I hope you enjoy the pictures.  This is a fairly rare lashup.

Thanks to Emmett Bell for a couple of links to the FP7As of the Southern Railway Passenger Livery Colors, from his archives.
