Here comes Winter

Our possible first significant snowfall could be this weekend. Let's just hope that it doesn't ice up like it did in 2003.

Well, No snowfall of any kind here at the Jreb world HQ this morning, just a nasty 2 inch coating of ice. Took me almost 20 mins to just get the truck door open.  When they say it will snow, it wont..count on it. Its the times they say "a light dusting" that you have to worry about..  I can remember a "light dusting" a few years ago that gave us 16 inches in 12 hours...

I remember "that day" when I tried to get to work by heading down the alley from when I lived with my grandmother, barely tapped my brake and, WHOOOOOPS, got stuck in a couple feet of snow.    So much for getting out. >

Weve managed to dodge the ice so far today down here in NC,  since it's hanging in there at about 33 or 34 all afternoon. Tonight is going to be a different story, but it will probibally still end up being like Thursday... Ice that quickly left
