Here's some photos, first is the unknown coal drag on the Port with the CSX 720 leading.

Next stop was at Lemoyne, PA on the Lurgan where we caught what I thought was the NS 227 headed towards Hagerstown, but I guess it could've been the 228. Can anyone confirm what we saw?

Then my brother had me drive some crazy ice ridden backroads between Duncannon and Newport, PA on the Pittsburg Line, it was worth it as we found this sweeping curve east of Newport to catch the 21V.

Next on to Newport itself, well actually suburban Newport behind the Oliver Township municipal building for a parade of trains. Here's my pop and my brother standing out in the cold, I was warm in the car.

Here's 21G Westbound at the 131 signals and the 14G that rolled east just before this train..

Here's 37A's power plus a track car mid consist carrying a panel switch.

Amtrack showed up right on time with the eastbound Pennsylvanian.

Next back to Cove to finish out our Harrisburg Area train watching. Here's M6N.

Here's 23M charging out of Harrisburg after just 20 minutes behind the 21M from the video above.

Next train was the 36A. Here's the power as well as a flatcar with some John Deere's on it mid-train. In the springtime (which should be soon according to the groundhog's prediction), this train gets to be pretty long with tractors and combines.

The last train we saw at Cove was the Westbound Pennsylvanian, Amtrak 43/NS 07T. After this we trucked back east towards home, and heard the 63M was going to meet the 202 at Fleetwood on the Reading Line. We missed 63M's power but did catch the 202 headed East through what was once the Fleetwood Body Works which is where Cadillac began back in the late 1800's.

Nice catch with the tractors. Unusual loads make a train even more interesting...
Got questions? I can help you with the Erie Lackawanna (including predecessors), Lehigh Valley, Delaware & Hudson and the shortlines of upstate NY.
