Thanks to Hunter33 for mentioning the Wabash, a quick check of heritage units showed it by Flat Rock at around 3 in the morning. About 6 I made the quick 4 mile drive to Danville Yard, and there sitting on East 6 was the lone Wabash. It must've been sitting there for awhile as the fuel tanker was already driving back to the shops. A quick chase of the Wabash allowed for a pretty solid morning.

The sun begins to rise into the sky as Wabash 1070 sits in Danville Yard

NS 705 is back underway, as the sun still rises into the morning sky as 705 travels under the 2168 bridge just north of the yard

After meeting an eastbound freight at SJ Tower, NS 705 enters the Louisville District at South Wye as it heads west toward Louisville

Great shots! I've really started enjoying early morning shots in recent years, and the Wabash unit looks awesome at dawn.
Got questions? I can help you with the Erie Lackawanna (including predecessors), Lehigh Valley, Delaware & Hudson and the shortlines of upstate NY.
