Alright. This is probably the best of all places to pose this question...

Can any of you gents please tell me some of the best spots to catch a decent amount of traffic on the Central Division?? Other places in the South for the same also?

Looking to use some vacation time to possibly catch action on other parts of the system.

Thanks all...

Hello,

On the Central Division, Chattanooga might be a good place to visit. A large amount of trains pass thru Chatt. daily. You would also be close to Georgia, Alabama, and a short drive from Southeast KY, and the scenic Second District of the CNO&TP.

The Second District is definitely worth checking out.  The line sees 40+ trains a day and is scenic.  Most locations are easily accessible.

The Louisville District is also worth checking out.  It's not as busy as the Second (about 25 trains a day), but it's scenic as well.  A lot of folks don't shoot the LS because of the fact that it's not as busy as most lines.  This makes it kind of a "hidden jewel" for photography.
