I only mainly took photos last year up in the mountains of NC, which was only CSX. However, I do have a few from the NC Transportation Museum. Click on the words to view the photo...

I built a BEST OF '06 folder on my website.

Most of my time was spent in non-NS territory in 06, but here are four that I like.

I previously posted this shot of a southbound crossing the current bridge at Burnside from the abutment of the abandoned CNO&TP span by Tunnel 4.

A UP lead cruising south through the wonderfully named Dead Ox Holler near Keno.

In Eastern Kentucky, a loaded coal train creeps out of Wolf Creek Tunnel.

A CSX/NS combo.  The CSX train had just chugged up the hill from Latonia and cleared the bridge at Walton when the NS southbound out of Cincinnati came cruising through.  If only one had been a couple of minutes slower or the other a couple of minutes faster...

What are my favorities from 2006? The short answer is everything!

Photography changed for me with the purchase of my Nikon N90s camera in Feburary 2006. There was a lot to learn with such a large, professional piece of equipment. Shortly thereafter, on April 14, 2006, railroading and photography changed in a drastic way when I became a member of Jreb.org. Since that day, there has been no looking back! I have learned so much from Emmett, Caleb, and the others who are a part of this site. Whether it has been a simple computer, photography, or railroad question, many people have shared a wealth of knowledge with me. I remember chatting with Emmett with questions when I was considering a film scanner,  as well as before and after the purchase of both of my telephoto lenses. Again, I have had a welath of knowledege shared with me and I am very grateful!

Since I enjoyed everything, if for no other reason than the learning experience, I would like to invite fellow members to click on my Jreb gallery page and view for themselves. If anyone has a favorite of my work from 2006, please feel free to leave a comment on the gallery! The link is in my signature below.
