For the past couple of years I've been taking my lunch along the tracks of the Norfolk Southern's Harrisburg mainline just east of Hummelstown, Pennsylvania.  Lately I've been taking it later in the afternoon in order to avoid the "high sun" problem.  Sometimes I get lucky, like when the Marsk unit came by . . . .

Or when I just happen to get an unusual meet . . . .

For the past month or so there has been a lot of MofW activity around Harrisburg.  Sometimes low priority trains are held while others run around it.  I caught just such a move yesterday with this photo . . . .

Why a mile of empty container flats was a high priority I don't know.

I'm sure the crews love being "run around."  :x
As the old saying goes, at least in Knoxville, "You wouldn't run around a man, Would you?"

I see the face has been painted out on the NS 9894.

Actually, I think that the 9894 has been in primer for sooooo long that it's beginning to flake off and that's bare metal showing through.  I believe that it's overdue for the paint shop.

Gee, I didn't realize that the 9894 was somewhat of a celebrity.  I just thought that it was tired of being undecorated.  I would have painted a face on it too, just to break up the monotony.
