Has the fate of Saluda been sealed?

Has the fate of Saluda been sealed: I read today that Watco is taking over NS lines around Asheville. Without my timetable and going from memory I believe they will now have the north/west end of the line from Henderson to Asheville effectively ending any possibility of return to service. If there even was the remotest of possibilities anyway after all these years. I never set around even hoping for a return, but as long as the rail remained in place I was interested to see what would eventually become of it.

As far as NS operating it yeah, it's done for.
However, NS could sell the southern end of the line that comes North from Spartanburg to Melrose & sell the Melrose -Saluda part to the shortline & then the shortline can operate the whole thing again between Asheville & Spartanburg.  WhooHoo
