Georgia Division Superintendent Burgess, who is a recently demoted General Manager, has been touring his "kingdom" in search of wrongs to set right...

Very recently he appeared at Brosnan Yard in Macon.  Two of the "wrongs" he found, were one employee who's shoe laces were too long and he was forbidden to go to work.  Another was instructed that unless his shirttail was not tucked in, he would not be allowed to go to work.

No, I am not kidding... :-\

In still other tidbits, another crew and dispatcher in Atlanta have been removed from service after the DS gave out a track authority with the wrong engine number and the crew repeated the authority back, with the wrong engine number.  Currently the Macon/Albany/Columbus/Griffin pool has 11 people out of service for rule violations.

A very good yardmaster in Savannah got his off days changed (Sat - Sun to Tues - Wed) because a particular person who was in town at the time did not like an answer to a question given by this yardmaster.
