Radio channel B-ham to Meridian?

Anyone know if the NS line from Birmingham to Meridian is on a different channel than normal? I have been unable to hear trains calling signals. However, when I get near Meridian I get the Meridian yard on 160.950. I get the DS south of Meridian on .950 and the duplex channel 2, but I am getting very limited traffic to the north/east.
