Hi guys,

I had to come back South a few days ago to collect my discharge paperwork from the Navy. Gary Knapp came along with me and the two of us went to a few of my old haunts to do a few bulb shots. Click the thumbnail for the images.

Hope you enjoy them, all the photos are a cooperative production between Gary and myself. Gary provided the equipment and I provided the operational background/navigation for the area, as well as assisting with the setup of the equipment.  Also providing ATCS support.

All photos were shot with the permission of the CSXT and or NS where applicable.

Hope you enjoy them!

What kind of set up, timeing ect did you use for those? Nice shots!

There are 14 individual speedlights of assorted makes.
Canon, Nikon and Sigma are all well represented.  The
camera used is a Canon EOS 5D, ISO 1600 and 1/200th
sec., and Leicas' 21-35 zoom set at 23mm and f4.  The
lights are controlled via PocketWizard RF triggers
which provide an effective range of 1600 feet from the
transmitter.

The speedlights were setup over a space of about 200
feet diagonally across the field opposite the station.
2 separate speedlights were also set up on the
station side of the tracks to illuminate the station
and fill in the dead space between the train and the
station.
