After seeing a heads up, or two, about the 1066 being on 289 and then seeing photos posted of both engines facing West I took a chance and grabbed my camera after work and headed over to Buechel. Sure enough 1066 was parked right next to the side street. Of course I don't own a tripod so I had to take hand held night photos in what seemed to be at the time hurricane force freezing wind gusts. Most everything was really blurry and the ISO was cranked on some that they are so bad it looks like the snow on an old analog TV set when the stations went off the air. Who even remembers those days? Any way. I got to see a train even if it was parked. Shame when I didn't work for six years I saw thousands of trains and had a terrible camera. Now that I work ALL the time and have new dslr equipment I don't have time to use it.

First photo is with my Pentax K30 and a 35mm f2.4 lens.
Second photo is with my Pentax K5-II and a 15mm f4 lens.

Nice shots! I hate shooting in high winds, so I sympathize with you.
Got questions? I can help you with the Erie Lackawanna (including predecessors), Lehigh Valley, Delaware & Hudson and the shortlines of upstate NY.
