Went over to North Carolina and Virginia last weekend for the first excursions on the year for NW 611.. It was a beautiful weekend all around, long and tiring, but as all death marches and steam trips go, so very worth it.. Great pics, I remember seeing 611 come through Hammond Indiana when I was a kid.
