NS Grain moving south on the Harriman-Knoxville Line, 1/29/15...

All... Decided to move around a bit this mornin, although the weather was nasty (...rainy and overcast...)... My customary routine is to head railroad north (...really, west...) from the hamlet of Powell, by Clinton, then on to Harriman at the junction with the CNOTP...

As i came into Clinton, i spied the tail end of NS27V moving north across the Clinch River bridge... I caught up with him at Laurel siding, just a few miles up the road from Clinton holding for a stop signal...   When i saw him holding, i knew that he had been tagged to push a southbound grain train over the hill from Heiskell to Powell... Poor NS27V held at Laurel for about 2 1/2 hours waiting for NS46G... During that time the weather went from "ratty" to beautiful...
