Title: N&W SD45 slug masters
Post by: Railnet on January 02, 2009, 11:17:43 AM
While digging for pictures of 1728 I noticed 1769 in a lot of photos with a slug and another SD45. How many of the N&W SD45 fleet were equipped  as mothers?

N&W EMD SD45's 1765 through 1769 were equipped as slug masters for N&W RP-E6 road slugs 9920 and 9921 (which were later renumbered to N&W 9950 and 9951).

What equipment is needed to convert a loco into a slug-master?
