Just thought I would pass a note to everyone that the sole surviving narrow gauge ET&WNC 4-6-0 has hit the big 90. According to Johnny's book and the Baldwin records, #12 was first fired up on Feb, 9th in 1917 at the Baldwin Locomotive Works. Tweetsie's old lady should be fired up again in late April. :)
Thanks for the info Bart, an old lady indeed! Are you by chance still working at the Tweetise RR, can't recall?
Bart and I both have pictures of her in our albums. If I have to say so myself she don't look bad at all for her age!
Unfortunately not working there anymore, but still visit about once a month. #12 looks great to be over 90 years old, when you have a great owner and great staff members maintaining and caring for these things they will run forever. Baldwin built them to last.
