Title: Grain Trains on the Knoxville-Harriman line and at Oakale 7/22/14
Post by: leroy on July 22, 2014, 03:17:08 PM
Yall have me a bit ashamed of my picture takin laziness with the great pictures posted here over the last few days... In a bit of an attempt to clean up that laziness; here are a few pictures shot this mornin between Oakdale, Harriman, and Laurel siding....

It all started this mornin when i headed out about 9:15 when i caught 55G (...Tate and Lyle grain empties...) runnin back toward the flatlands grain elevators thru the hamlet of Powell, TN... The first shot is 55G commin by the old passenger platform at Harriman...

Havin made it to Harriman, i headed to Oakdale and caught his brother, 56G (...Tate and Lyle grain loads...) commin by Oakdale southbound... He was running the "wrong main" (...the old northbound main...) and had to cross over to Harriman Junction... That gave me time to shoot him commin by the old passenger platform at Harriman (...didnt post this one...) and again at Blair Siding...
