What Is This Box?

This mechanism is along the Rathole line at MP 138.9 (Kings Mountain).

Ignoring the fact that the solar panel on the top is facing the wrong direction, what is this thing?

Thats one of those new fangled solar powered curve greasers, for the S-curve just down the hill in the cut. Over the past 2 years or so, NS has been replacing the older style boxes with these things, and they are REAL good at ruining a shot when placed in the right location..

Not to bad for a overhead shot.  They have ruined a couple of my favorite low level super-tele shots like my favorite at Southfork.
