70J & 71J?

I have noticed that NS is still running 70J & 71J. My question is that since the shutdown of the AW&W, where are the trains going/coming from? Do they get the loads from ISRR at Oakland City?

AWW never touched the 71j/70j. On a good day a ISRR crew would be on hand to take over the train at AWW yard with their own power. It normally turns  somewhere between 9 and 11 hours and the NS crew is ready to take it back to Louisville.

Where does the coal originate from for this train?

If Indiana Southern is filling it, it probably comes from Somerville Central. I've been around Oakland City a lot and have never caught that train ID. Perhaps it moves at night?

The train does load at Sommerville Mine. The empty train arrives monday, wednesday and fridays between 0630ac and 0800ac. Normally departs loaded anywhere from 0300pc to 0600pc on the same day.
