Hey guys,

A fellow asked me on another forum about NS stating on their website that they were hiring "Military" conductors somewhere in the mid-west. Being I?m retired I have no knowledge as to what is meant by ?Military Conductor? or if the fellow misunderstood the listing on NS?s site. I gather he may be interested in hiring on but can?t say for sure. Anyway, I told him to post his question here (Gen Discussion) and if he does hopefully one of you currently working for NS can help him.

Thanks for helping him if he posts.

I not sure as to what they are exactly saying there......  But we do have a lot of conductors who are still in the military reserves.  I know of one conductor I work with who is about to be redeployed back to Iraq or Afghanistan.  He doesn't know which yet.  Though, I guess even if he did know...  He couldn't say.

I believe all the major railroads have programs in place to hire people with recent military experience, recent veterans and current reservists included.
