Since I live on the Muncie-Frankfort line in east-central Indiana, I always put a Holiday sign out back for passing crews each Christmas season.
Here is this year's sign (Pic #1). It's about 50-feet off the mainline, easily in view from the tracks.
In Pic #2, I include a view from behind the sign, with a westbound NS train streaking by.
(Sorry, but the photo of the engine on the head-end was really blurry).

Thats pretty cool for you to do that. I bet it makes them wonder who you are! The train crews here on the Louisville District always get a huge kick out of the Display that JREB member Robert James and Gorden Brandenbug do each year...We here a lot of chatter about it on the radio every night..
