Title: 60R symbol usage
Post by: D300 on August 27, 2012, 02:52:29 PM
Last winter I shot 60R westbound at Harrisburg, Pa. This was an empty coil steel train. Even though it was a westbound, my notes clearly state it was 60R.

Anyone have origination and destination on this move?

In trying to track this down, I did a Google search and I see this symbol pop up in a lot of different locations across NS. Looks like it could possibility be one of those symbols they use for single use trains?  Anyone have any thoughts?

Not sure if still used... but, 60Z and 61Z are(were) steel trains empties and loads to South Philly. 60R could be a one time number for one of these. Dan
