That the movement of the SP 4449 out of Chicago this past Sunday is the first time that the NS has allowed a steam locomotive to LEAD a train over NS tracks since the end of the steam program in 1994?  I guess it was because the train was being operated as a Amtrak Charter, as the 765 ferry move today out of Fort Wayne had a NS geep on the point but still, who says NS is totally anti-steam. 

I changed the picture on the main page just as my little homage to the event. Its 611 leading a Southbound over the Emory River at Nemo TN 1992.
