Don't know how many of you decorate the back of your home, but we do.

Our deck is 142 feet from the Frankfort-Muncie, IN main (at milepost SP 179.4).  For about 5-6 years now, we have placed a Holiday greeting in the backyard for all the NS crews that roll by (and yes, there is a clear view to the tracks).  Here is the 2007 photo.  The train engine and cars are animated, as the wheels "turn" and smoke billows out of the stack.  In the darkness, the bright lights reflect off all the snow.

Traffic often slows as they go by the house heading into town, with a reduced speed in Muncie itself.  So whisles, bells, waves, etc. are common.

Only trouble . . . . last week an engineer was hanging out the window with a digital camera as he rolled by eastbound (so if any of you NS crews are reading this, don't fall out the cab window!  LOL).

Merry Christmas to all,

Rich
