I don't know if anyone else has experienced this, but in a whole day of railfanning, hitting the shutter at the precise moment and getting the perfect shot can wipe out the memories of 100 bad shots. i got to experience that this weekend.  Went back to the WMSR this past weekend with the promise of good weather. picked out a spot that i knew would provide great light and an awesome backdrop. so i waited..... fianlly the loco and cars made their trip over from Ridegely and i got this shot...

Looks like they have cleaned that area around the river up since the last time I was there. Last year, there was a cut of old Bi levels sitting there next to the bridge that would have ruined that shot...  WMSR is a class act and a great line to shoot, nice work!
