In keeping with tradition, the JREB Christmas poem.

T'was the night before Christmas
And all through the system
Things were quiet
Thanks to NS wisdom

When from the North End Desk there arose such a clatter
That the dispatcher  answered to see what was the matter.

Rockport  needs steel and real railroaders don't rest
61A is ready to go west

Check box two and get them EMD's humming
West Talmage to Dumesnil no time for GE's burning.

West Talmage, Waddy, Coal Chute and Joyes
Go right on by, no meets tonight boys

The railroad is yours, and we won't put up a fight
Keep them wheels rolling on this holiest of nights.

Merry Christmas yall!!

My rendition of "The Night Before Christmas."

Twas the Night Before Christmas
and all through JREB
a couple creatures were stirring,
even the mouse started a thread.

I was sitting at my desk
when I heard such a clatter
sounded like thunder
or just like a hummer.

When out of my desk chair,
I see with such awe
a triangular light,
lighting the night y'all

It turns out to be an EMD
with a engineer in red
driving a loaded-down train full of toys,
enough to be had.

The man in red
starts delivering his gifts to one and all,
cameras, radios, a new car
even a HO scale in the garage.

And just as fast as he came
he disappears out of sight
saying "Merry Christmas to all,
because I got a green light."
