O Winston Link Museum
Celebration at the Station

On Saturday, May 9th, the O. Winston Link Museum will host it's fifth annual Celebration at the Station,  Railroad Heritage Festival and National Train Day.  In honor of this fifth anniversary celebration the N&W Class A steam locomotive 1218, from the Virginia Museum of Transportation, will be on display at the Link Museum throughout the day.

In addition, the Norfolk Southern F Units and 3 business cars  will be on display, as well. There will also be 1/8 scale train rides, face painting, telegraphy demonstrations, a cupcake walk and games for the kids. For more information, visit www.linkmuseum.org.


Admission to this event is $5 per person which includes entrance to the museum, the festival and O. Winston Link's caboose, as well as the games and other activities.  Bring a non-perishable food item for the Southwest Virginia Second Harvest Food Bank and receive a $1 off the admission.  This event is in association with Rail Day at the Virginia Museum of Transportation, also on May 9.

Bring your camera and get up close and personal with the N&W Class A No. 1218 and the Norfolk Southern F units and three of the Norfolk Southern Business Cars for a night photo shoot on the tracks adjacent to the Link Museum.  Refreshments are included.

Advance Tickets are $25 per person.  At the gate tickets are $30.  Call  the Link Museum to book your tickets at 540-982-5465.
