Here are several photos of older diesel engines I have seen in the last three years, at different places--Danville, KY;  Burnside, KY;  Tateville, KY; one at Muncie, IN.

Update:  Jan 2020---I had a bunch of links here to some of my photos on my Flickr account.  That has all changed.  I have a page on my RR website with photos of older engines.  Here is a link:

You can see them on my page, so I won't replace them on this post, with the exception of the CP engine I saw in Muncie.  I'll attach that one, since there was other discussion about it.

Love the high-hood units!

And the pic of CP #6229 (an SD60) . . . . looks like it was taken on the north side of Muncie, IN out by the by-pass.

Yes, that is where it was.

I added a few more photos.

Nice work, Bill! I also enjoyed the high hood GP50 shots. I've only seen them once in person.
Got questions? I can help you with the Erie Lackawanna (including predecessors), Lehigh Valley, Delaware & Hudson and the shortlines of upstate NY.

I still have to say the best looking car body was the old SD45. Loved the flared radiators and short porches.
